Ocean City’s Community for Cannabis Culture

• What This Is

We are the enthusiasts in our community, organizing to create a safe, above board, law-compliant culture to begin the baby steps of normalization.

As a private-membership based 501c7 nonprofit chartered social club, we are dedicated to creating a welcoming and respectful environment where our community encourages education, normalization, responsible use, and an open dialogue with for fostering a positive culture to help reduce stigma historically associated with cannabis.

• The Quick & Simple

  • Instead of cramming in my car to visit things like SunMeds “Golden Ticket” tour, I organize a party bus
  • Instead of coming to my house to watch a movie, we rent a theater
  • Instead of a barstaurant or real estate firm sponsoring a dodgeball/softball team, we will
  • Instead of asking reddit, chat, or dicerolling with a budtender any kind of questions, our archived discussions on our Discord are always live
  • Dispensaries aren’t legally allowed to have a float in any parades, but we will
  • Dispensaries aren’t set up to outwardly hold everyones hand and keep everyone up to date with EVERYTHING going on in the land of cannabis, we will

• How This Works

  • You become a member through a monthly membership.
  • You agree to the club’s Code of Conduct, ByLaws, guidelines and community rules and standards.
  • You stay connected through our private member communication channels, specifically Discord.
  • You participate in organized activities, contribute to message board discussions.
  • Follow along through social platforms for updates and additional content.

WHY AM I PAYING $7 A MONTH ?!?!?!?

GATEKEEPING

A major aspect of this is keeping the riffraff out.

This isn’t some kind of excuse for free handouts or RAH! RAH! PARTYTIME!- Membership dues incite a level of commitment which ensure that the people joining are genuinely interested in being part of the community we’re building. We are serious about our mission- raising the vibration of our community is the priority, and living by our Code of Conduct and Bylaws is taken seriously.

People value what they invest in. Dues contribute to creating a stronger sense of ownership and participation.

Creating a ‘Guild Bank’

Things cost money. Bigger things require downpayments and advances. Once we get steamrolling and our club vault grows, event admittance fees will shrink while the size and scope of the things we do will grow in scale and frequency.

COST OF OPERATIONS

The Website, domains, the nonprofit organization platform, storage unit for things for events, things just require some cash. If I waited for 10 of yall to venmo me to cover a downpayment hold on a venue or shuttle bus months in advance, nothing would ever get done.

LEGALITY

With a yearly membership, it’s easy to click a box in January and forget about it by November. Monthly dues create a recurring acknowledgement of the club’s Code of Conduct and Bylaws. Each exchange of currency serves as a re-affirmation that you’re aware of the rules, understand the expectations, and agree to uphold them as a member of the community.

A Letter from the Founder

Hello there.

Thanks for showing interest in what Im trying to get started here.

After a couple of years on the frontlines budtending, I can see what a dispensaries limitations are- legally, and what people are yearning for when it comes to understanding, sorting the informations, and maximizing in the bounty of all the wild advancements cannabis is leaping towards exponentially. I can see what this has created, and there isnt really a solution, so, how about we come together and try.

After 20+ years in the film industry, understanding accounting and legaleese has become a specialty of mine. I feel that us organizing ourselves like this is the best way to get this accomplished. It sone thing if its 10 of us, its another thing if its 50 of us, its another thing if its 500 of us. The Professor wants to share all the knowledge with anyone wiling to listen, but he is also not going to get taxed with the might of a thousand suns because my personal venmo and zelle history would look insane and that would only be pertaining to monthly party bus trips to visit different vendor grow operations! Im not here to make a profit, Im here to be the one who stands up first to be the ringleader… your President.
